Congratulations and well done to all of the swimmers who took part in this year’s Sputniks Gala series.  Throughout the four rounds there was a great atmosphere at the pool and some fantastic support off the balcony.  Every swimmer made improvements across the rounds and there was some very fast swimming at the finals.

A special thank you goes to the coaches and helpers for all the hard work poolside and for giving up four Saturday nights to support their swimmers.  They were all very proud of the swimmers who were fantastic ambassadors. For representing the club and their families with distinction each swimmer deserves the highest praise.
 
In total 39 Saracens entered this friendly competition which is used for junior swimmers to introduce them to competitive swimming, and give them experience in a competitive team situation.  Everyone who participated in the final round received a certificate for taking part. 

Medals were awarded for the top 3 point scorers in each age group and the overall improvers in the 9 and under and 10 and over groups.  Presentations were made by Val Mellor MBE.

A few special mentions to swimmers who finished top in their groups:
• Anique Kuiper - overall improvers trophy (9/under); silver medallist (8 years)
• Jake Crossley -  gold medallist (8 years)
• Holly Needham - gold medallist (9 years)
• Steffi Davies – silver medallist (9 years)
• Sophie Douglas – gold medallist (11 years)
• Jake Clappison – gold medallist (13/14 years)
• Robert Harvey – silver medallist (13/14 years)
