Congratulations to the following Saracens’ swimmers who have been selected to represent the Bolton and Manchester Swimming Associations in the Inter Association championships on 29 and 30 May.  The club has managed to secure some funding from the ASA to help set up a pilot for adults interested in swimming.
This will be limited initially to parents/guardians/family of current club members and volunteers.
The intention is to provide a one hour dedicated weekly session (day/time/venue to be confirmed) providing coaching at the following levels:
• Learn to Swim
• Improver
• Recreational
• Competition

NB This pilot will only go ahead if there is sufficient interest.

 Over 100 swimmers from across both the small and main pool entered this year’s Spring Sprints Championships which were held over two evenings in March. Families packed out the balcony to support the swimmers and were rewarded by two remarkable evenings of swimming. It was a pleasure to see so many of our swimmers competing against each other to achieve their own personal goals and successes. It is interesting to note that 70% of the competitors were girls. Seven swimmers achieved four gold medals in their age groups and four records were broken, some of very long standing.
The time for each swimmer was recorded and all events decided on a ‘Declared Winner’ basis with awards presented to the six fastest swimmers in each age group – results are available in the downloads section. |
