Links to our Clubmark Certificate and Swim 21 Certificate In June 2005, after only one year of working towards Swim21 accreditation, Saracens were awarded the Silver Standard award for Teaching. This is a fantastic achievement for Saracens and at the time we were one of only 14 clubs in the North West (out of 298 nationally) that had achieved this award. The club was complimented by the ASA assessor on the number of qualified volunteer Teachers and Coaches delivering the club’s swim programme and also on the quality of the evidence supporting the application. The club welcomed back back James Hickman and Sarah Bailey (former Saracens swimmers who went on to international success as Olympians) for a publicity event to promote our success in gaining Swim 21 accreditation. If you have any of these skills and talents, or want to help in any way, then please make contact via this link or our Swim21 co-ordinator (John Norcross tel: 0161 442 8886) and join the Swim21 team. Alternatively speak to any of the Saracens' Swim21 committee members (listed below) to hear about what you're missing and how you can get involved! We look forward to hearing from you! Kevin Nuttall John Norcross It doesn't matter if you can't swim as you can serve as land based volunteers. Whatever input you can give will be appreciated, as would your skills, knowledge and advice. It's also a great way to meet new friends and socialise, and you would be providing a service for the benefit of Saracens. Download the Swim 21 Newsletter for July 2011 |
